Harrold W. Bulger

Harold W. Bulger, a principal in the Detroit office of Miller Canfield, has been named as one of the Michigan Chronicle’s Men of Excellence. He was honored at a reception held at the Westin Book Cadillac on June 28 2012 for his contributions to the region, community and the business world.

As a recipient of The Michigan Chronicle Men of Excellence Awards Bulger joins a group of distinguished men of achievement that have excelled professionally and gone above and beyond when it comes to participation in community service.

As reported on the Miller Canfield website, Bugler’s primary expertise is helping municipalities secure the financing they need for infrastructure projects such as water, sewer and street improvements. He has extensive experience in assisting financially distressed cities and school districts with short-term cash flow borrowings and long-term fiscal stabilization bonds to solve fiscal imbalances.”

Bugler received his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1981 and is also a member of the American Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Association and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association. He has been listed in Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer review guide for the legal industry, since 2007.

Despite his busy professional life, Bulger makes time to be a math tutor for the Detroit Public School system. He is also a trustee for the Detroit Summer Finance Institute, a non-profit organization that provides meaningful summer paid internships for high-achieving Detroit High school students who will enter 11th and 12th grades the following school year.
